HOW WILL THE NEW LAW WORK IN CALIFORNIA?
In this case, the new minimum wage for fast food workers will be applied to companies that have more than 60 units spread across the country, with the exception of chains that manufacture and sell their own business, such as Panera Bread itself, which sells its bread well known there.
Currently, California fast food workers earn an average of $16.60 per hour, or just over $34,000 per year, according to information released by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics, but as of next April, that will change.
